Located in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh with the establishment year of 1954, Government College of Teachers Education, Chhatarpur offers several popular courses such as B.Ed., M.Ed. etc. The institute offers courses in fields such as Teaching & Education, mostly in Full Time mode. It offers various UG and PG level courses within its modern infrastructure and facilities for the students.

The CTE, has been conducting 2 years B.Ed./M.Ed. course from 2015 as per revised recognition order issued by NCTE. There are opportunities for interaction, discussion and revision of course material everyday between faculties and trainees. In course work and practicum 80% attendance is compulsory and in internship 90% attendance is mandatory. Also we conduct sessional test and writing of assignments to evaluate the trainees internally.

The college has been in full pursuit of qualitative teacher education through the in-service training of secondary school teachers and therefore enough Weightage has been given to the practical sessions of the scholastic and non-scholastic programs of the B.Ed Course. The college is also proud of its strict adherence to the carefully prepared Academic Calendar all throughout the programs of the year.
